Legislation
The legislation that covers pat testing is the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 puts the duty of care upon both the employer and the employee to ensure the safety of all persons using the work premises. This also includes the self employed.
Why Pat Test?
Pat Testing is a Legal Requirement
The Electricity at Work Regulations requires that all employers maintain their "electrical systems" at the workplace to prevent any danger to anyone. This is a legal requirement.
Reports & Certification
On completion of the testing you will be issued with a safety certificate and a detailed report will be emailed to youit will include information on each individual item.
All items that pass the inspection & testing will be labelled with a safety sticker and a unique barcode number that helps you keep track of all portable appliances in your company
Our Pricing Structure
We have our pricing structure outlined below. This is a rough guide only, we reserve the right to add a mileage charge for non-local work or low volume work . Our minimum charge for onsite testing is just £45.00. Use our contact us form for a quote. If you already have a quote, let us know and we'll do our best to beat it.
When comparing our prices, always remember that our prices are all-inclusive, we do not charge for rewiring plugs or changing fuses, and for most jobs we do not charge mileage, unlike a lot of other PAT testing companies. We are often able to offer a dicount for local companies, just contact us for more information.
Repairs
Minor faults found during the course of the Inspection will be repaired as when they are found and the appliance will then be re-tested. For more serious faults a quotation will be given

• Thorough visual inspection
• All required tests on our latest PAT testing equipment
• Pass and Fail labels
• Certificate of testing
• Fuse replacement (as required)
• Plug rewiring or new plugs (as required) with free retest
